Morris K. Hamasaki Medical and Science Magnet will open in Fall 2018 with grades one through five and space for 132 students. This will be in addition to the existing classes at Hamasaki Elementary. Students currently enrolled at Hamasaki Elementary will continue as Hamasaki students and will not be impacted by this change. Enrollment in the magnet center is open to all students in LAUSD through the Choices application process. If parents are interested in applying for the magnet center, the application period will open in October 2017. We are very excited about the opening of our magnet center and the opportunity it presents for our students and the community.
